Masking

There are two kind of masks in Pikimov: alpha and luminance.

  • Alpha masks mask content based on the transparency
  • Luminance masks mask content based on luminance

To create a mask, select the item to be used as a mask and tick set as mask. A masking item masks the item right below it in the timeline. When masking a group, all group items are masked.

How to mask multiple items?

Create a group and drag all the items you want to be masked into the group. Move the mask to be above the group so it will mask all the group content

Using the 'background remover' tool, you can generate a rotoscoping mask using AI
